About Ridgeway Insurance
We started Ridgeway in 2012 with one complaint in mind: insurance shouldn't feel like filling out the same form five times. We're still fixing that.
Our story
Ridgeway Insurance began as a small brokerage in Manchester, covering a few hundred homes and cars. Over a decade later, we protect more than 58,000 homes, vehicles, and families across the UK — but we kept the thing that made us different from day one: we ask for less, and we ask for it once.
In 2024 we rebuilt our onboarding around Squiryl, a data-sharing layer that lets customers approve exactly what they share — verified, encrypted, and delivered straight to our systems without ever passing through a form. It's the same information insurers have always needed; we just stopped asking people to retype it.
What we believe
Private by design
We can't see your data until you approve sharing it — and we only ask for what the quote needs.
Fast, on purpose
If a quote takes more than a minute, we consider that a bug.
Straightforward
Plain-English policies. No cover you didn't ask for, no surprise exclusions.
Fair claims
Our claims team is measured on how fast and how fairly we pay out — not how often we don't.
Leadership
A small team, mostly ex-insurers and ex-engineers.
Amara Kaine
Fifteen years underwriting home and auto risk before co-founding Ridgeway in 2012.
Marcus Boyd
Leads engineering, including the move to verified, privacy-first onboarding via Squiryl.
Rosa Serrano
Runs the 24/7 claims line and owns Ridgeway's fair-payout commitment.
